Ya it will cost a lot of gold but it seems to be the fastest way to get the Pearls. It takes 15 Black Lotus to create 1 Black Pearl. BTW you will need 12 more Black Pearls for the next crafting quest.I, too, am frustrated with scrap iron collecting.
