Wild bird fund

Prior to the Wild Bird Fund Center opening in 2012, New York was the only major city in the United States that did not have a hospital for wildlife. In the first year of operation the WBF center treated 1,500 birds and animals; in 2016 the number of WBF patients will rise to over 4,000. Over 100 different species are treated each year.
