Buck was an American Quarter Horse (Big buckskin). He was the same horse used by Ben Cartwright in Bonanza. After the cancellation of Bonanza, they brought Buck to a riding center for physically and mentally challenged kids, and he became the teaching horse. Buck lived a long life. He died at 45.
