The year 2020 brought unprecedented challenges. The COVID-19 pandemic forced the MD SPCA to adapt and innovate to continue serving pets and people when they needed us most. Adoptions, education, and other programs were moved online. At the same time, we met the community’s urgent need for pet food assistance and veterinary care.

Our Mission. Our eventual mission is to rescue adoptable animals from certain euthanasia and to provide any immediate care required, then to place these animals into loving homes.
