I recently learned that the KN153 oil filter changed specs. Meaning, last year that oil filter fit my bike. This year, that oil filter did not. Huge pain!! I bought OEM Ducati filter from Amazon. Double the price, but at least I know it fits. I usually use 10w-40 motorcycle oil, but you can get better kinds. 1.

V4 higher revving, should sound kind of like a gp bike. V2 lighter while cornering. V4 smoother to ride, less vibrations and smoother engine. The supersport will be more comfortable and can even fit bags if ya wanted to go somewhere for the weekend.. can be cheaper than the new V2s as well if you look around. The V2 is a very good bike with good electronics. Stability during hard braking is what impressed me the most over my 2006 999S. I ended up going for the V4* my self since engine wise the V2 wasn’t that different than my old bike to justify a swap.The only beef that I've ever had with Ducati is the cost of parts. I don't think they'll ever rival the Japanese in terms of reliability, but they are built so much better now than they ever have been. Having said that, I just put pistons in a Monster 620 and each piston was $999, and each ring set was $150. The v2 is almost as uncomfortable as the v4. The supersport is very comfortable. The v2 and v4 have crazy heat, the v4 gave me blisters through my jeans while I was going 65 on the highway. Still, if youre willing to put up with all the disadvantages and just really wanna ride a panigale, I don't blame, I'm like that.Interesting bit of trivia. You can daily ride on anything. Much of what people ride is based upon the aesthetic they want, then justifying it after the fact. I'm debating now between SF and Multi, riding them both back to back has me super confused. I personally picked the V2S. Amazing machine. Plenty of power, lighter, lots of torque. In my opinion a better all-rounder than the V4S. I’d say $800-$1,000 every 7,500 miles for service at the dealership. I recently got my 15,000 mile service done and will be going to a local shop with certified Ducati mechanics that’s cheaper. Here a valve service is $2k , mid inspection $1k . miscellaneaous self induced stuff$500 every 10k. Electronics read out $100 .
