Additionnaly, the enemy frontline is usually unable to hit your 3rd and 4th row. Killing the backline first will also protect your squishy heroes in the back. And for what it's worth, the EA release has come such a long way it's ridiculous. They've made some amazing changes. If a character relies heavily om Bleed for example (Flag), then don't take them to Ruins, and maybe not Cove either. If a character relies on blight, they won't be able to blight well in Weals/Warrens. Of course there are many exceptions to this.
