Since 2016, Placer County Animal Services has operated out of a new, state-of-the-art animal shelter, which cares for nearly 3,000 animals each year. Through progressive return to owner, adoption and medical programs, Placer County Animal Services has continued to achieve live release rates above 90% since 2017.
