Pain Resonance has a bunch of great things about it. 1: It's instant. You hook, it goes off. It doesn't have that travel time that other gen regression perks like Pop, Eruption, or Call of Brine have. So there can be a gen at 99% on the opposite end of the map and guess what you just stopped it because of a chase who the fuck cares where.
