Maybe Glock wants to keep the weight down 10 rounds vs 15. Plus if they made a factory 15 round 43x magazine it will take most sales from the Glock 19 which is their biggest seller. I always carry and extra mag anyway even if I am carrying my Glock 45 so the 10 round mags don't bother me.
