Skiing in the USA has become so expensive, and it's almost cheaper to get on a plane and fly to Europe than to ski at Bachelor. But for a great little home town ski experience at a decent price (look for the deals), Mt Ashland can't be beat. It's one of the few ski areas that is locally owned! I learned to ski here as a kid in the 1980s.
