Legend/Master Lost Sector Exotic Drop Rates When researching drop rates (when I went 37 platinum legends in a row without an exotic drop), I found varying information. The few people (thank you) that responded to my post with relevant words pretty much stated that all that matters is to actually platinum it (kill all champions).

It depends on your own ability and the lost sector. 99% of the time though, Legend will be less hassle and work out better in the long run. If you average 5 Master runs per 30 minutes, but can do 7 or 8 (with less stress) of Legend in the same time, Legend will definitely be better over time. Yes doing it solo increases your chances of getting an exotic and is the best way to get the exotic. You can still earn an exotic from that lost sector if you have a fireteam with you but that's rare. I've had a legendary lost sector drop an exotic in 3 different occasion and it's happened with my friends too.
