There's an option in Civilization 5 to start a new game on an Earth map, but in Civilization 6 there's no such thing. And there's no Steam Workshop support yet either.

The Problem is the Number of Civs and City States and the such. The bigger Maps need more RAM, that is the main problem. You can make it more stable by deactivating animated leaders. And don't use the fucking launcher to get into the game. Use the command line thing to make the game start directly.

Civ 6 has the absolute worst map generation ever. Honestly Civ IV map generation was their peak. There were actual biomes, big stretches of forest, jungles, desert, etc. In CIV VI, I get jungles in the middle of my forest with visible tundra and desert nearby.Creates a (near) scale map of continental Earth.
