The NSP file has been converted from the XCI files. Both files work but some methods of getting it on the switch require NSP's (like NSP splitters etc) which is why it is converted for those people. You don't need both, you use one or the other. The difference between the nsp and xci files is that the nsp is taken from the e-shop and the xci is taken from the game cartridge itself.
