Lecompton has a great river access point. The Kansas River Trail is a great opportunity to explore the unique beauty of eastern Kansas from a whole new perspective – from the river itself! To access the river, go north on 1029 (or Eisenhower Memorial Drive) across the bridge. Take the first left (it’s a dirt road) to get to the river.
