Wayne King. GARDINER — Wayne King, who served 18 years on the Jefferson County Public Utility District commission before he retired in 2018 to focus on his first love of race cars, has died. King died Feb. 22, shortly before his 82nd birthday on March 2, according to the Kosec Funeral Home in Port Townsend. The cause of death was not announced.
