I94 expired but have valid i797

In August 2014, I accepted offer offer at Organization B. For same, I received new I797 A along with I94 which has end date of June 2017. In March of 2015, I took trip outside USA and while entering the CBP Officer provided me with I94 with expiration date of Dec 2015. I didnt notice that till this week.
