May 20, 2022 · I have a gen 3 Glock 22 and a gen 5. The 22.5 has less recoil, IMO. The 22.5 will not fit in my 17 holster, but it does fit in my 20/21 holster. Shooting a 17.5 then the 22.5 there is subjectively little difference in recoil.
