F150 shift lock
Not a bad job at all. To drive the truck all you need to do is pop the top of the console and you can manualy depress the soleniod in order to get shifter out of park. To repair, I just removed the soleniod and was able to repair it. The transistor on the board is more than likely the culprit.
Turn your F150’s engine on. Then, rock the truck with your foot off the brake. Press the brake down when you have rocked uphill. You want to “catch” it with the brake at the right time. This will take pressure off of the parking lock. Apply light pressure to the shifter when doing this.
