Enjoyed the lay over at the Crawford Station to stretch our legs. Note, the gift shop at Crawford Station is run by the Appalachian Mountain Club. Different from the train oriented one at the Conway Scenic Railway station. They narrate during the train ride points of interest that really added to the interest of the ride.
