Arcane Firearm is nice with cantrips though. Basically you get Tier 3 cantrips in Tier 2. Ray of Frost is a good one. Fire Bolt and Acid Splash are both good for damage. If your DM lets you have Booming Blade and Greenflame Blade (e.g. if you're playing with Tasha's Artificer instead of RFtLW) they are excellent for damage.
