May 1, 2020 · My personal opinion on the round is that shooters should take advantage of the extra case capacity over the Dasher and BR variants by running higher BC 109/110gr bullets, or heavier, at velocities equal to or greater than the Dasher running 105s.. A heavier bullet at 2850fps to 2950fps seems ideal for this round. That and the extra velocity are the reasons it’s more popular in PRS. The BR case is a great size for varget. The XC is great for h4350. The dasher has its down side that you have to fireform. But the fire forming loads are accurate so if you are just plinking, not a huge deal. XC has great brass in Alpha. BR/Dasher as well in Lapua.The 6 GT barrels are lasting 2500 to 3000 rounds plus depending on how hard they are being run. This is from the prs shooter crowd, so a lot of 8 to 12 round shot strings. 6 creed is more like 1200 round average barrel life.
