4runner 275 70r17

I know TONS of 4runner owners run 285/70R17 tires on TRD PRO wheels 17x7" and SR5 alloy 17x7" wheels. HOWEVER, 285/70R17 tires calls for rim width range of 7.5-9" so technically minimum of 7.5" of rim width is required. I know trail edition and TRD Offroad wheel is 17x7.5" so it is safe.
