I ran the alternator wire to the + terminal on the ammeter, and the battery, ignition & lights to the - terminal. Anyway with the tractor running I'm seeing 14.49 volts across the battery terminals, 14.32 volts with all 4 lights on. So I know it's charging. But it shows -15 or so amps when running, and it goes to about -20 with the lights on.I had a "55 ford PU, 6 volt. I had the generator converted to 12 volt using the 6 volt core.
