The 101st and 82nd divisions remain to this day as airborne and air assault divisions repetitively. They have participated in in all major US operations after Korea. They became well known during WWII, which is a good reason to them instead of a less-known airborne division. The 11th airborne division do exit today and is stationed in Alaska.
